A Theory Time Special: Our Poptropican’s Backstory

Hey there, Clawtropicans! It’s me Purple Claw with a Theory Time post! This theory is going to be a little different, since it’s going to be a half theory and story! Anyway, this theory was suggested by the amazing Lucky Wing!

”Why do our Poptropicans do what they do? As in, why do they go adventuring?”

Hmm, interesting question! But to answer it, we should do some research first, shouldn’t we? Don’t worry, Detective P. Claw is on the case!

In Monkey Wrench Island AKA the best island on Poptropica (you know I’m kidding), we learned how we got our blimp, but is that enough info? I think not. That still doesn’t reveal why our Poptropican goes adventuring, or how he came on Home Island in the first place. Maybe, this question will be answered in the new Poptropica, but I highly doubt it’ll come out this year, so I’ll just continue my theory.

Well, since we don’t have a lot of information about the backstory of our Poptropican, we have to use our imagination. This is where the story part comes in.

Do you remember the Super Squad? It was a fan-fiction on the Explore Collect Compete blog, which is now cancelled (and so is their blog, unfortunately). If you haven’t read the fan-fic yet, you totally should, since it helped me a lot at writing this theory.

Well, what if our Poptropican wanted to go to the Flying Ace Race (as told in the Super Squad fan-fiction)? What if they came there for only that reason, but after what happened, they wanted to become adventurers and heroes? Well, that’s a great answer, but…

As weird as it sounds, it’s true! Thanks for letting us know, Shaky Skunk! Anyway, if your Poptropican had a family, why would you leave your home anyway?

Well, I don’t know, since this is our Poptropican’s personal life, and we have no right to bump into it, so the theory ends now. Just kidding. Detective P. Claw never, ever gives up!

Well, I think something bad happened to their family (maybe they had gone missing), and then our hero had to save them. Our Poptropican traveled from island to island, until they got on Home Island, and then, they applied to enter the Flying Ace Race to get the medallion, and sell it to buy something useful, like food, or a boat to continue your search to find your family. You’ve probably played Monkey Wrench so you know what happened on the race. 😉
