Hey guys, it’s Purple Claw. And happy new year!

From the title of the post, you probably think this is going to be a more serious post than my other ones. And you’re right. It’s going to be a little hard for me to explain what’s going on, but here we go.

You’ve probably noticed my inactivity on Clawtropica. I haven’t been posting for more than a month. Well, it’s not because I’m lazy, but it’s because… I’m moving on.

I know you’ve been waiting for a long time until I get to my 10-12 posts a month, but I can’t and I don’t want to do that anymore. In fact, I don’t want to do anything with Clawtropica anymore.

So, yeah, I’m shutting down this blog due to my lack of ideas, time and the fact that I want to do things other than Poptropica, and this blog doesn’t allow me. Blogging on this blog has become more of a chore and less of a hobby.

I’d like to thank all of the authors that have contributed to this blog, starting from Young Singer, Shaky Skunk, Tall Cactus, Lucky Joker, Hyper Gamer, Happy Lobster, G-Hopper, Brave Hero, and, of course, Lucky Wing. You’ve been a huge help, and I couldn’t be happier.

I’d also like to thank every since one of my commenters and supporters. It took me a while to create a community of a few people, and I’m glad for all of you. I don’t think it’s necessary to list all of you here, but I think you know who you are.

But, please, don’t cry, because then I’ll cry. I won’t be leaving the Poptropica community, the PHB, or even blogging as a whole!

I’m opening a new blog I’ve secretly wanted to start since September. It’s called Pea Sea and it’s more than just Poptropica; it’s about my daily life, reviews, art, poems, stories, rants and all that cool stuff. Go follow that blog on you’d like to see more of me (please).

I hope you like what I post there, because I sure am happier with that blog. Remember that I’m not quiting the PHB yet, because there are a couple of things I’d like to do there.

Also, I’m not deleting this blog, so you can check out all of my 184 posts if you’re feeling nostalgic.

Please, to all Poptropica bloggers, don’t be discouraged by this post. I’m just stating my opinion, and if you like Poptropica, then go ahead and continue doing what you do. I’ll still be commenting on different blogs. I might also come back, if I’m not happy with my non-Poptropica blogging and maybe if Worlds releases new and GOOD content.

And, for probably the last time on this blog, bye Clawtropicans, and I with you the best. You were the reason I woke up early to write back in 2016, and thanks for tuning in, but now, I have to tune out. See you whether on my personal blog, discord, or the PHB.

An apology

Hey guys, it’s Purple Claw, and I want to apologize for my inactivity.

I haven’t posted since the 5th, which was two weeks ago. I’ve had internet connection errors for the first few days, and decided to take a small brake until I finally come baack for good.

As you can see, I don’t have a schedule as of now, but I’ve tried doing 10-12 posts each month, and if I don’t accomplish that goal (which I didn’t), I’m really hard on myself (even though I shouldn’t be). Heck, last year, my goal was to release about 14-17 posts in a month! I’ve been less and less active here. Why, you might ask?

Well, it’s just… that I’m running out of ideas. I still want to do Poptropica blogging, even though there isn’t such a large audience reading this blog anymore. And, who can blame them? My ”schedule” is a total mess.

So, I need your help. What would you want to see from Clawtropica? Do you have any segment ideas? Well, if you do, please share them in the comment section below. I’d appreciate that a lot.

BTW, I also have a segment idea of mine, but I don’t know if you’d like to see it. If a couple of you would like to see my idea, please, comment here or reach me of Discord.

Again, I’m very sorry, and I’ll try to be active from now on.

A Spooky Blog for a Spooky Month – Happy Halloween!

So… I was going to post this on Friday the 13th, because it would be the perfect day to start this Halloween thing, but my lazy brain just though ”oh why don’t I just do this tomorrow (but I didn’t do it tomorrow) and ruin a perfect way to introduce a darker version of our blog BECAUSE I LIKE MISSING PERFECT OPPORTUNITIES AND FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT FOR THE NEXT TEN YEARS”. So… blame my brain, not me.

Ugh, let’s just continue with the scheduled post, shall we?

Boo, Clawtropicans! Welcome to Clawspookica, the Poptropica blog of horrors!

Yeah, I know this intro is really cheesy, but what better way to start this post than getting in the spoopy spirit, am I right?

So, you may have noticed our Halloween-themed makeover we had for our blog, that is, if you’re not reading this post from your WordPress.com reader. What I came up so far is pretty simple (and not at all cringe-worthy), and improvements will be made, but I believe we can settle with this for now.

Since it’s Halloween, we’ll have many fun things over here at Clawtropica, so I sure hope you enjoy what we have in store! There’ll be top 5 lists, reviews, interviews, and many more (and maybe even a Halloween party)! Oh, also, the long-waited answers to your questions for Sarah will also be answered soon, so that’s something to look forward to. 😀

Recap: Sarah Snooty’s Birthday Party!

Hey there Clawtropicans!

As you might now by now, the day before yesterday we hosted a party on the Clawtropica Chat, all about Sarah Snooty, and while it may not have been the best birthday party for her, we, the others, sure had a blast!

The event started at 1PM EST and kinda died out at 3PM EST, but it sure was fun while it lasted!

The theme of the party was, well pink, since it’s Sarah Snooty’s favorite color, but we could also wear something fancy. Since I was lazy I just wore my Poppies outfit; take that Sarah.

The party started with a really few people, but more people came with the arrival of Sarah Snooty on the common room and on the Discord chat. A new channel was also created, where everyone could ask questions for senorita Snooty (#ask-sarah), and you guys can still ask questions! Sarah Snooty will get to them soon…

Sarah Snooty joined her own party late, and left much earlier than the other partiers, because, well… she hates us now. We kinda ruined her 16th birthday party. But, fear not, because she did leave me a message that she wanted me to share with the rest of you.

You guys made this the absolute WORST birthday party of my life! My sixteenth birthday party was supposed to be amazing (y’know, like sweet 16), but you guys ruined it and made it trash! I’m never making a party on Discord with people I don’t know, ever again! And if ruining my party was your plan all along, don’t worry; my dad is making me an after-party celebration and NONE OF YOU ARE INVITED!

That was kinda harsh… she will still answer our questions sometime in the future though. ;P

Anyway, I hope you had a fun time on Sarah’s ‘worst’ bday party, and if you couldn’t make it, it’s all fine — there will be more parties in the future! That was your friend, Purple Claw, signing out until my next post!

Anyway, the Poppies awards ceremony was yesterday, and even though I couldn’t come, Clawtropica got third place for best active fan blog, and I also got third place as a PHB author (well that’s surprising, am I right?)! Woo! Congratulations to every winner or nominee, y’all deserve it (except Thinknoodles, screw him). Anyway, everyone who got nominated also got a really cute badge, made by my friend and PHB author SD! Check it out:

Well, this isn’t the only thing to be happy about: Clawtropica recently hit 70 followers! Freaking 70!!

I… I don’t know what to say! I mean, we’ve been inactive for most of Spring, and seeing this other milestone, just amazes me!

To celebrate, I had the idea of hosting a party on Sunday, since it’s been kinda a long time since we did the last one. It won’t be something grand, just a small party. I’m thinking of hosting it at 2PM EST, but you’re welcome to comment down below what time would you like the party to start! The party details should come out tomorrow.

Recently you might have noticed the slight improvement with our graphics, since instead of using online crappy editing tools, I installed Adobe Photoshop CS6, and I updated almost every page with new graphics, since the previous once were socially unacceptable. If you want a graphic done for you, you can just hit me up on Discord; I’m always there!

A Clawtropica Milestone: +10,000 Hits!

Heyyy Clawtropicans! It’s summer time! And that means I’ll now be able to post regularly! I’m sorry you had to wait so long, but I hope it was worth the wait, since a lot of posts are coming soon! Anyway, I said I would write a post about Poptropica Worlds, but some awesome stuff happened, so that post has to wait a little bit. Anyway, let’s get started!

Recap: Clawtropica’s 1st Birthday Party!

Hey everyone! As many of you might know, Clawtropica’s one year anniversary was yesterday! Since birthdays are rare events that happen only once a year, we hosted a party, and boy, we sure had fun! On this post, I’m going to talk about all the crazy things we’ve done during the party! This is going to be a long post, so get comfy, grab some popcorn, and let’s get started!

The party started on 1 PM EST and lasted for more than THREE HOURS! Heck, the party kept going even after I left! A lot of people came along, and there was lag, cringe, memes, a lot of purple, and so much more! We’d like to thank everyone who was with us during the party, even the ones who stayed for a couple of minutes! This party will always be remembered in the history of Clawtropica!

This community has a tradition: To make multiverse parties on special occasions, and dress up for the occasion. The same thing happened with our party! The theme was purple, so we had to wear something purple, in a purple multiverse, for a purple blog! People also prepared their gross-out and laggy items, such as purple bubblegum, fart guns, fireworks, and whoopsie cushions. Sometimes the lag went out of control, and you can blame Short Feather for that (no offence SF; we love you). Anyway, we had fun, and you just see how much fun we had by looking on the image below! 😛 (just click on the image to make it bigger)

If you couldn’t join us, it’s okay! There will be more parties in the future! And, who knows? We might even have more fun on our next one! However, the party wasn’t just lag and multiverses – we even hosted a contest… a weird, but yet fun contest…

This was literally my favorite part! It was so fun seeing all of these hilarious drawings! The winning design will temporarily become Clawtropica’s official logo for two days. Yay! Anyway, there were so many good entries, that I just have to feature all of them here. Just notice that if you’re not prepare to cringe, then you should probably skip this part. Teen Arachnid made a great contribution to Clawtropica; he wrote Meltene! And, during the party, he thought of a funny name for Clawtropica, Clertrerpercer, and then started making memes out of it. Poptropica Worlds Sneak Peeks – Oh, and I guess I’m back for good.

Trust me; I wasn’t pranking you – I seriously considered leaving, but I really love Poptropica to do that. And from the info I’ve gotten from someone who wants to remain anonymous for the new Poptropica, I’m pretty sure this ”Poptropica Worlds” is going to be pretty neat.

First of all, I’d like to apologize. I’m sorry I made you cry, but I’m not quiting. Poptropica is my home. The community is my home. This blog is something I created with my whole desire, and for like, two days I realized how much I missed blogging. I’ll hopefully be here for as much more time I want to, to make this community a better place. I’ve inspired a lot of cool people to start their own blogs, and I want to keep blogging because it makes people (including me) happy.

I feel stupid, because I’ve considered leaving back in June, but I came back after a few days. I’m just really glad I’m back. Y’all are awesome.

Whatever this is, it’s the greatest thing my eyes have ever seen. I mean, just look at it! All I can say is that the Creators are doing such a great job, and I simply can’t wait for Poptropica Worlds to launch.
