I try to be an optimistic person, but this is just lazy. Why, you might ask? Well, because this is the exact same post from LAST YEAR. A really few parts were edited, but it’s really clear that Skinny Moon spent no time writing this post. I’m sorry, Skinny Moon, but blogging takes time, and if you didn’t have the time to do an original post, I’m pretty sure Captain Crawfish or some other creator could.

Lucky me! I can get last year’s follower and a costume I already have, because I got it last year from the exact same update! Hooray!

Well, how about instead of doing the same things all over again, why don’t you just give your fans what they really deserve for keeping this fandom alive. Give us new stuff that we would actually enjoy. It’s not impossible, it’s not difficult; you’ve done it before, and you can do it again.

Skinny Moon, if you’re reading this, I’m not trying to offend you, or anything, but you shouldn’t recycle posts and/or do the same offers. This post isn’t meant to make you feel bad, but it’s meant to teach you how to treat your fans. No one wants the same updates again…

I know you creators are busy and all, but this is too lazy. Poptropica isn’t perfect, and no other game is. But that’s no excuse to treat us like that. I’m not just mad, I’m annoyed too. It’s not just this post: the Creators’ blog (more like the Creator’s blog, since only Skinny Moon posts there) is full of filler posts like this one. And this one. Oh, and there’s the recent Hot Dog Boy comic, that’s been made and POSTED ON THE CREATORS’ BLOG years ago. IotMs are literally the most exciting things right now on Poptropica, and they’re not even new content; it’s just extra credits. Thanks a lot, Poptropica Creators.

Well, hope you enjoyed this rant! Don’t worry guys, Poptropica Worlds is coming soon, and we will all be saved from this horror. Hopefully…

  4. Sorry you feel this way! Here’s the explanation: You may not know that tons and tons of new players are discovering Poptropica every day. We’ve had a big influx of new players and blog readers lately due to some advertising we’ve done. They have never seen the St. Patrick’s Day followers. Plus, we have a lot more blog readers than we did last year at this time, so the promotion is new to the majority of people who read the blog. And we purposely bring back limited-time promotions each year for those players who missed them.

    Also – in my defense – I did do a new video and I rewrote parts of the post so it would be a little different in the eyes of the Google gods (for SEO) and for longtime readers. So it’s not the exact same post from last year. 😀

    We are working around the clock – literally – on Poptropica Worlds right now and as we’ve said, we’re not bringing new stuff to Poptropica from now on (though we did debut the Snowpocalypse game!).

    All you loyal, longtime players’ patience will pay off when Poptropica Worlds debuts and we bring new stuff to you on Worlds all year long. It’s going to be awesome!

    • Thanks for clarifying! I apologize for being kind of aggressive and rude. I was just ranting because it’s all about the new players nowadays, and because this update was really similar to the one last year. Thank you, Skinny Moon for understanding! I can’t wait for Poptropica Worlds to launch!
